Terms of use

Last updated 12 August 2026

Boomlet is a free game at boomlet.net, run by Akshit Kumar (akshit.me, github.com/akshit-wtf). Playing it means accepting what is on this page. It is short on purpose.

1. Who can play

Anyone can play as a guest. Signing in needs a Discord account, which means you must meet Discord's minimum age, which is 13 or older where local law requires it, and you must keep to Discord's own terms while using Discord to sign in.

2. Your account

Your Boomlet account is tied to your Discord account. Anything done through it is treated as done by you, so keep your Discord account secure. Access may be suspended or removed if these terms are broken.

3. Playing fairly

Rated games only mean something if people play them honestly. So, no:

Ratings may be recalculated, games removed, and accounts suspended where any of this happens. Boomlet's bots are part of the game and playing them is fine. Games with a bot at the table are never rated anyway.

4. Names and chat

Your display name comes from Discord and is shown to everyone you play with. Chat exists only inside a room. Do not use either for harassment, hatred, threats, sexual content involving minors, impersonation, advertising, or anything illegal.

A room's host can turn chat off and remove anybody from their room. Content and accounts may be removed here for the same reasons.

5. Ratings, seasons and leaderboards

Ratings are worked out by Boomlet and are not a possession. Seasons end and ratings carry over only partly, by design. Leaderboards show players who have played enough rated games to be placed. None of this is guaranteed to be permanent, and it may be corrected or reset.

6. What you put in

Anything you type stays yours. By sending it you allow Boomlet to show it to the other people in your room for as long as that room exists, which is all it does with it.

7. Availability

Boomlet is offered as it is, free, with no promise that it will be available, that a game will not be interrupted, or that anything stored will survive. Games in progress can be lost when the service restarts. Features may change or be withdrawn.

8. No warranty

Boomlet is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from using or being unable to use Boomlet, including lost data, lost ratings or lost time. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending it

You can stop at any time, and ask for your account to be deleted as described in the privacy policy. Access may be withdrawn where these terms are broken, or where it is necessary to keep the game working for everybody else.

11. Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top changes with them, and anything significant will be announced in the game. Continuing to play after a change means accepting it.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
